Work Package 1

The objective was to exchange the know-how that will help Plasmore to develop optimum nanosurfaces for the design of the different microarrays (i.e. antibiotics, mycotoxins and allergens) and to test the performance of the nano-iSPR system developed by Plasmore.

With the help of the recruited ER, the nanostructured sensor chip surface chemistry was improved. Due to several secondments, it was obvious that the sensitivity needed to be improved and this was accomplished in the second period by the development of a 3D chemistry on the sensor surface which improved the sensitivity enough to build assays in the required sensitivity ranges (ppb for the antibiotics and ppm for allergenic proteins).
